Our mission statement:

Oaklette United Methodist Church, through worship, education, and outreach, seeks to make the gospel of Jesus Christ real as we minister to all people.

The story of Abraham and Sarah is complex, full of twists and turns, great faith, and crippling fear. Through it all, it is a story about a family that struggles and learns to love in ways that could be an invitation to the whole world. It is a story about the people of God who want to follow, even when their wisdom falls short. It is a story about blessing, about receiving a blessing, and then being a blessing. We begin this season after Pentecost by thinking about the church and about these examples of faith as we consider forming a family and preparing a people.

Please join us for this worship series continuing June 21 with a look at Psalm 86:1-10, 16-17, which can be read at the link below.

Jaye Koch [left] of Nimmo United Methodist Church spoke to Oaklette's United Methodist Women this morning about her mission trips to Cuba, El Salvador, and Puerto Rico.

Meet Carla Warnock, Oaklette's next pastor. Carla's appointment begins July 1. Please keep her, her family, and her ministry in your prayers.

Two things the pastor has done as he prepares to leave is volunteer June 9 at the Community Feed at Berkley with Jay Boone [above left] and asked the church to donate to a collection of basketballs, footballs, and soccer balls for the Second Precinct [below]. He's thankful for both.
